Post Med Surg Exam 2: My mindset and whats next!

So medical surgical nursing exam #2 is behind us, and it's safe to say my moral is high right now. It seems all the time i've put in payed off, and i'm very happy with how I did. I was able to lock in and spend a good amount of time everyday to study for exam 2, and i'm happy I took the time do that. Moving forward things are about to pick back up again. After thanksgiving break, we have a pathopharmacology exam and then finals the first week of Decemeber. It is safe to say i'm ready for winter break, for some much needed relaxation. Ive been happy recently, trying to keep my mood up so don't fall into a slump of not wanting to study. Nursing school is a grind, thats for sure. For anyone reading this, take care of yourself and your mind, your health is most important before anything else.  Goodluck on finals everyone, and I hope everyones semester went well!

Almost finals time

This semester so far has been nothing but stressful, as expected. With finals around the corner I'm feeling nervous, but I know I can conquer anything in my way. Staying motivated is hard, as a lot of my friends are winding down with not much work left, but I am staying locked in for sure. We had just taken the second patho and maternity exam, which I did well on. That was a huge boost of confidence for me as I knew if I could do good on those I would be in a better spot academically. As finals come around, Ill be releasing more blogs, so stay tuned to my page to see what happens in these next few weeks!

Halfway There - Big Time Rush

So.... the semester is halfway over. I cannot believe it. Im overwhelmed but hanging in there. The first round of exams are over and I did well, but not great. Im in a good spot for the semester, now I have to stay on top of my work. Ive been involved in my fraternity a lot which has helped reduce stress. It's a great time to be a Philly sports fan, as the Phillies have game one of the NLCS tonight. LETS GO PHILLIES!!!! Im excited for the semester to be over, and Im ready to hit the grind for the last months of the year. Take your vitamins and stay healthy everyone!

The Quiet Before the Storm

So... the quiet before the storm eh? This week is the last week without exams for at least the next 3 weeks. Stressful? YEAHHHH! Will I be fine? I hope so. Between the busy work assigned from the nursing professors, to the endless hours already spent making flashcards and concept maps, Im feeling surprisingly refreshed. Its crucial to stay on top of schoolwork while also preparing for these exams, which is very difficult but with proper time management it's manageable. One of my favorite things to do is take a walk around Chester, as I can clear my mind. The ambiance is second to none, as you never know what you're going to see walking around in this area. Another way i decompress is spending time with my brothers. This past week we had a BIA event and played capture the flag on memorial field which was a great way to clear my mind and stay active. Im looking forward to a busy few weeks, and Im ready to overcome any challenges thrown my way! To whoever reads this, if anyone......

First few days back on campus!

So..... junior year.  It's hard to believe that I am already halfway done my journey to become a RN and attain my BSN. These first few days back on campus were nothing short of stressful, but as any schooling that was well expected. It is nice to get to see some of my friends and classmates, but I know its time to grab the bull by the horns and knock this semester out of the park. Im hoping for a fun semester, where I can learn and put new knowledge to the test while learning new clinical tasks I will use in the future on a unit. Stick around and follow my adventure through junior fall semester as I take on nursing school!
